Anopinkieliä / Mother-in-law's tongue

Kova kiire koko ajan, ja ihan huono omatunto, kun Miriam ja Orlando taloineen ovat täysin oman onnensa nojassa. Anopinkieliä olen saanut sentään tehdyksi!

I'm now constantly in such a hurry that Miriam and Orlando have been totally abandoned to take care of them selves. At least I have managed to make some mother-in-law's tongues (or snake plants)!

Matkamuisto-vaihdon askartelut / The things I made for the souvenir-swap

Meillä oli FB:n Nukkekotiharrastajien Sari V:n kanssa kahdenkeskinen swap, jossa aiheena oli matkamuistot. Yllä Sarille tekemistäni kolmesta tuliaisesta kaksi: bonsai-puu Japanista ja intiaanipäähine Kansasista, USAsta. Ohjeen päähineeseen mukailin Maria Malmströmin ohjeesta.

We had a swap just the two of us with Sari V (from FB's dollhouse hobby-forum) with a souvenir theme. Here you can see two of the three souvenirs I made for Sari: a bonsai from Japan and a Native American headpiece from Kansas, USA. I used Maria Malmstörm's tutorial as my guide with the headpiece.

I will post pictures of Sari's souvenirs later!

Hiphiphurraa, 50 lukijaa jo! Lukijat ovat blogin pitäjälle todella tärkeitä - ilman lukijoita, alkaa blogin kirjoittaminen tuntua melko turhalta ja puisevalta. Kiitos siis teille kaikille, jotka jaksatte lukea ja kommentoida blogiani :)

Hurray, 50 readers already! The readers are so important for a blogger - without the readers writing would feel quite pointless and dull. So thank you to all of you who are reading my stories and leaving comments :)

Olen ollut sairaana, mutta viherrystä jaksaa tehdä kipeänäkin - kasvit syntyvät jotenkin itsestään tässä sohvapöydän reunalla...

I've been sick but these tiny teeny greenies practically make them selves here on my table...

Miriam ikävöi merimiestään, mutta on keksinyt itselleen uuden harratuksen: hän on alkanut kasvattaa melkoista viidakkoa vinttihuoneen nurkkaan! Vuokraemännän chihuahua tuntuu myös viihtyvän vehreyden keskellä, koska silloin tällöin se tepsuttelee portaat ylös vintille Miriamin luokse.

Miriam is missing her sailor but has come up with a new hobby: she seems to be growing a jungle is the corner of her room in the attic! Landlady's chihuahua likes it amongst the greenery since every now and then it climbs the stairs to Miriam's attic.

Vihermania! / Green mania!

Nyt on iskenyt vihermania oikein voimalla! Maalarinteippikasvien tekeminen on helppoa ja suht nopeaa, ja tosi kivaa. Kiitos Marialle hyvistä ohjeista :) Anopinkieli tarvitsee vielä lakkauksen ja istutuksen, palmun lehdet jätän varmaan lakkaamatta.

Green mania has struck me hard! These plants have been made of masking tape. Doing plants like this is easy and relatively fast, and really fun. Thanks to Maria for good instructions :) The snake plant needs some varnish and of course it must be planted. The leaves of some kind of a palm I will leave like that.

On hyväkin, että vihermania iski, sillä jollakin tämä valtava viherhuone olisi täytettävä..!

It's good that I have the green mania since I need to fill this gigantic green house..!

Illasta aamuun / From dusk till dawn

Miriam ja Orlando nauttivat vähän viinistä ja toistensa seurasta ennen kuin Orlando lähtee taas merille... Illalla lämmitellään takan palaessa hiljaa, Miriamilla on myös uudet, itse tekemänsä villasukat jalassaan. 

Miriam and Orlando are enjoying some wine and each others company before Orlando has to leave to the seas tomorrow... There is a fire in the fireplace burning slowly and warming the loving cou ple and Miriam has also her new self-made woolen socks on her feet.

Aurinko on noussut ja Orlando on mennyt. Miriamilla on edessään monta pitkää, yksinäistä viikkoa. Onneksi kevät on tulossa!

The sun has risen and Orlando has gone. Miriam has many long lonely weeks ahead of her. Luckily the spring is coming!

Matkamuisto-swap / Souvenir swap

No niin, matkamuisto-swappi alkaa olla käsillä! Tällä hetkellä olemme alkamassa siihen kaksin FB:n Nukkekotiharrastajien Sarin kanssa, mutta mielellään saa tulla mukaan jos inspiraatio iskee! Alustavasti ollaan sovittu, että matkamuistot postitetaan viimeistään 11.2. maanantaina.

Orlando on lähdössä kohti Kaakkois-Aasiaa, mitähän hän mahtaa tuoda mukanaan..? Buddha-patsaanko?

Ok, now it's time for the souvenir swap! At the moment I'm doing it with only one person – Sari from the Finnish Dollhouse hobby forum in FB – but please join in if you feel inspired! We have agreed that the souvenirs should be posted by the Monday 11th Feb.

Orlando is traveling to Southeastern Asia, I wonder what will he be bringing as a souvenir..? Maybe a Buddha-statue?
