Kevät! Spring!

Oli pakko koota pianon päälle Toivosen perheen kevätkuvaelma, koska osallistuin FB:n Nukkekotiharrastajissa kevät-swappiin, ja niin paljon kaikkea ihanaa tuli, että pitihän ne jonnekin saada esille..! Omaa tekoa on tuo linnunpönttö, idullaan olevat kasvit sekä kahvipöydällä olevat kirjat.

Had to construct a room box for spring time on the top of our piano. I participated in a swap with spring theme at the FB Dollhouse forum and got so lovely things that I just had to get them somewhere on display. The birdhouse, the pots with sprouts and the books on the table are my own work.

Jouluaatto / Christmas Eve

Toivosen perhe, äiti, isä, Taika ja Touko, viettämässä jouluaattoa herkkuruokien ääressä. Pöydässä tarjolla kinkkua, perunalaatikkoa, karjalanpaistia, rosollia, ja lasimestarin silliä (kaikki Jatan loihtimia ja fb-nukkekotikirppikseltä ostettuja). Piparit ja joulutortut odottavat hedelmävadin kanssa sivupöydällä, vaan saapahan nähdä, pystyykö niitä kukaan enää vatsaansa mahduttamaan..!

Joulukuusen koristelua / Decorating the Christmas tree

Oi, kuusipuu / O, Tannenbaum

Jouluhuone on saanut kuusen! Askartelin sen metsästä löytyneestä kepistä ja Nukkekotikirppikseltä ostetusta havuvauhasta. Kuusi on vasta tuotu sisälle, ja odottaa koristelua.

Alimmassa kuvassa itse tekemiäni kruunukynttilöitä joulukalenterista löytyneessä puurasiassa, Etsystä ostettu maatuska ja Nukkekotikirppiksen kautta hankittu kynttilö jalkoineen.

The Christmas Room has got it's tree! I made it from a stick found from the woods and from artificial conifer garland. The tree is waiting to be decorated – it's juts been brought in!

In the last picture there is the candles I have made presented in a small wooden box I got from the Christmas Calendar, a russian doll ornament I found from Etsy and a candle with it's holder bought from the dollhouse market in FB.

Joulu -roombox / Christmas room box

Akuutissa nukkekodinpuutteessa pitää turvautua luoviin ratkaisuihin. Tässä valkoiseen puulaatikkoon kyhätty jouluhuone meidän olkkarin kirjahyllyssä :) Puusohva on itse tehty, herkut ja tavarat suurimmaksi osaksi facebookin Nukkekotikirppikseltä ja Etsystä. Keskenhän tämä on vielä mm. jouluvalot ja kuusi puuttuvat, mutta kivaa saada ihania ostoksia johonkin esille!

edit. Ok, so here is my Christmas room box! When one does not have a doll house of her own, one must be creative. This is an old wooden box but since it is not deep enough the room continues on the shelf. The room box is in our bookshelf in the living room. It is not ready yet – at least it's missing the lights and the christmas tree! Most of the beautiful little things in the room are from the finnish doll house market in Facebook and from Etsy.
