Aarteita ja remonttia / Some treasures and some renovation

Pitää niin kiirettä 1:1-elämässä, että kaikki hommat junnaa Huis Orlandossa paikoillaan jo kolmatta viikkoa... Alakertaan on tulossa väliseinä keittiön ja eteisen välille, ja laitan seinän ehkä myös ylimpään kerrokseen. Ei etene, kun ei ole tapetteja...

I'm so busy with my 1:1 life that all the work with Huis Orlando is at a stand still... I'm building a wall to the ground floor between the kitchen and the hall and I'm also planning a wall to the attic. But since I have had no time to look for the wallpapers...

Ostin Heli Snickerin taitavasti rakentaman puusohvan - miten ihana se onkaan! Kulutin vähän kulmia ja lisäsin Nukkekotimarkkinoilta ostamani tyynyt. Daalia on Nukkekotikirppikseltä ja kaunis ruukku Taru Astikaiselta messuilta. Kiinalaisessa kaapissa näkyy uusimpia aarteitani: minikeramiikkaa Nukkekotikirppiskeltä. Pikkupöydällä olevat kukat kuuluvat myös suosikkeihini, ja MiniMirkan pikkuastia on täydellisesti samaa sävyä sohvan kanssa..!

I bought this wooden bench made by Heli Snickeri from the Dollhouse flea market in FB - and I love it! I showed it some sand paper to add a bit worn out look and added the pillows I bought from Doll House Fare in Turku. Flower is from FB flea market and the beautiful pot is from Taru Astikainen at the fair. You can see my newest treasures in the Chinese cabinet: miniature ceramics from FB flea market. Flowers on the small table are my favourites too and the little dish by MiniMirka is just the right hue of green to go along with the bench..!

Turun Nukkekotimessuilta löytyi vaikka mitä. Kovasti koitin olla järkevä, mutta rahaa meni silti enemään kuin piti ;) Jos esim. noita Taru Astikaisen ihania saviruukkuja ehkä pystyy vastustamaan, kun niitä katselee vai kuvina ruudulta, niin käsinkosketeltuna sitten ei..!

I was at the Dollhouse Fair in Turku and found lots of beautiful things. I tried to be sensible but still spent a lot more than I was supposed to ;) If one can resist the lovely pottery of Taru Astikainen while looking them from internet, that certainly can not be done while touching them..! 

Kaikki pikkupöydällä ja sen alla/edessä on markkinoilta, sekä sängyssä oleva koira ja tyynyt, ja lisäksi vielä tuo rullalla oleva matto. Ihan kaikkia myyjiä en muista, mutta pöydällä olevat pikkuastiat, pesuvati, lävikkö ja maitotonkka on MiniMirkalta, koira ja kuppi Nukkekotiyhdistyksen pöydästä, ja tyynyt Kookaja Creations. Ihania aarteita kaikki!

All the is on the tab and in front of the table are from the fair and also the dog and t pillows on the bed. The rug that has been rolled I also found from the fair. I can't remember the names of all the sellers but the dishes, the milk jug, the big bowl on the floor and the colander are from MiniMirka. The dog and his cup are from the Finnish Doll's House Association and the pillows by Kookaja Creations. Real treasures all of them!

Kuvassa näkyvien lisäksi ostin Gepetton koottavan mummonsohvan ja pikkuhyllyn. Nyt pitää saada pohjakerroksen lattia valmiiksi, että saa kaikki aarteet keittiöön esille!

I also bought some DIY kits from Gepetto. Now I really need to get the Ground floor ready so that I can get all the treasures in place!

Kevät! Spring!

Oli pakko koota pianon päälle Toivosen perheen kevätkuvaelma, koska osallistuin FB:n Nukkekotiharrastajissa kevät-swappiin, ja niin paljon kaikkea ihanaa tuli, että pitihän ne jonnekin saada esille..! Omaa tekoa on tuo linnunpönttö, idullaan olevat kasvit sekä kahvipöydällä olevat kirjat.

Had to construct a room box for spring time on the top of our piano. I participated in a swap with spring theme at the FB Dollhouse forum and got so lovely things that I just had to get them somewhere on display. The birdhouse, the pots with sprouts and the books on the table are my own work.

Anopinkieliä / Mother-in-law's tongue

Kova kiire koko ajan, ja ihan huono omatunto, kun Miriam ja Orlando taloineen ovat täysin oman onnensa nojassa. Anopinkieliä olen saanut sentään tehdyksi!

I'm now constantly in such a hurry that Miriam and Orlando have been totally abandoned to take care of them selves. At least I have managed to make some mother-in-law's tongues (or snake plants)!

Matkamuisto-vaihdon askartelut / The things I made for the souvenir-swap

Meillä oli FB:n Nukkekotiharrastajien Sari V:n kanssa kahdenkeskinen swap, jossa aiheena oli matkamuistot. Yllä Sarille tekemistäni kolmesta tuliaisesta kaksi: bonsai-puu Japanista ja intiaanipäähine Kansasista, USAsta. Ohjeen päähineeseen mukailin Maria Malmströmin ohjeesta.

We had a swap just the two of us with Sari V (from FB's dollhouse hobby-forum) with a souvenir theme. Here you can see two of the three souvenirs I made for Sari: a bonsai from Japan and a Native American headpiece from Kansas, USA. I used Maria Malmstörm's tutorial as my guide with the headpiece.

I will post pictures of Sari's souvenirs later!

Hiphiphurraa, 50 lukijaa jo! Lukijat ovat blogin pitäjälle todella tärkeitä - ilman lukijoita, alkaa blogin kirjoittaminen tuntua melko turhalta ja puisevalta. Kiitos siis teille kaikille, jotka jaksatte lukea ja kommentoida blogiani :)

Olen ollut sairaana, mutta viherrystä jaksaa tehdä kipeänäkin - kasvit syntyvät jotenkin itsestään tässä sohvapöydän reunalla...

I've been sick but these tiny teeny greenies practically make them selves here on my table...

Miriam ikävöi merimiestään, mutta on keksinyt itselleen uuden harratuksen: hän on alkanut kasvattaa melkoista viidakkoa vinttihuoneen nurkkaan! Vuokraemännän chihuahua tuntuu myös viihtyvän vehreyden keskellä, koska silloin tällöin se tepsuttelee portaat ylös vintille Miriamin luokse.

Miriam is missing her sailor but has come up with a new hobby: she seems to be growing a jungle is the corner of her room in the attic! Landlady's chihuahua likes it amongst the greenery since every now and then it climbs the stairs to Miriam's attic.
